David Biale is Emanuel Ringelblum Distinguished Professor of Jewish History at the University of California, Davis. He has won the National Jewish Book Award three times as well as a Guggenheim Fellowship and the UC Davis Prize for Undergraduate Teaching and Scholarly Achievement.
